Studs recognizes the importance of your personal information. This Privacy Policy details how information that directly identifies you or that reasonably allows you to be identified indirectly (“Personal Information”) is collected, used, and shared. Personal Information does not include “aggregate” information which we de-identify, anonymize, and combine with other information you provide to us.
Throughout this Privacy Policy, the terms “Studs,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refer to Studs, Inc. and its affiliates and business partners. The term “Services” refers to all of the services, product offerings, content, technology, and applications offered at or in connection with our website located (the “Site”), our Studs Studio locations, or to any other Studs product or service that links to this Privacy Policy.
Personal Information may be collected about our customers, prospective customers, visitors to the Site, individuals who purchase products on our Site and in our Studs Studios, individuals who book appointments on our Site or who have appointments in our Studs Studios, and individuals who post reviews or ratings about our products or the Services. By accessing and using the Site or Services in any manner, you understand that your Personal Information may be collected, used, retained, and disclosed in accordance with this Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring that you have obtained the necessary authorizations and consents for any Personal Information or other information or materials that you make available to us for use in accordance with this Policy. Although providing your Personal Information is voluntary, if you choose not to provide Studs with certain information you may not be able to use some of the Services.
Except as specifically described below, this Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected by third parties, such as other companies, or third-party websites or applications, even if any are linked to or accessible in connection with the Services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such third parties. HOW WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Personal Information You Provide. When you access or interact with the Site or Services, or complete either a Studs adult waiver or a Studs minor waiver in advance of certain Services (each, the “Services Waiver”), we may collect certain Personal Information. This includes information submitted by you electronically, via phone, or in person at our Studios, and includes information we receive via the Services Waiver. Categories of information that we receive via any of these sources include:
- Account Profile. When you create a Studs account profile (an “Account”), information collected may include your name, email address, phone number, and birth date, your use of the Site and our Services, geolocation data, images of your Government-Issued Photo ID shared with Studs, your emergency contact’s name, phone number, and email address, and other information available that is combined with your Account information.
- Order and Payment Information. When you order a product we collect your name, residential or shipping address, telephone number, and email address (collectively, your “Contact Information”) and a payment method.
- The Services Waiver. When you complete the Services Waiver, we typically collect your Contact Information, date of birth, and emergency contact information. If you are an adult completing the Services Waiver on behalf of a minor, you may be required to provide the minor’s name and date of birth, as well as a copy of your Government-Issued Photo ID and the minor’s photo identification. If required by applicable state or local regulations, you may also be required to provide additional demographic information, such as race, gender, and physician information.
- Marketing Communications. When you sign up to receive informational or marketing alerts from us, we may collect your Contact Information and communication preferences. If you opt in to receive marketing text messages from Studs, we collect your mobile telephone number, your consent to receive such messages and information about your interactions with our text messaging program, such as opt-in and opt-out requests.
- Surveys, Contests, Sweepstakes, and Promotions. If you participate in surveys, contests, sweepstakes, or promotions on our Site or in connection with our Services, we may collect your Contact Information, social media user handle, and demographic information.
- Public Feedback (Reviews). If you choose to submit a review about the Services or any products that you have purchased, that information, including any photos you upload, may become available to anyone. We are not responsible for the use by others of the information you publicly disclose.
Personal Information Automatically Collected. We and our third-party providers and partners collect certain Personal Information automatically when you visit, interact with, or use our Site or Services. Categories of information that we receive automatically include:
- Log Data. Log Data includes your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, operating system, browser details and settings, the date and time of your visit, and how you interacted with the Site.
- Information Collected by Cookies and Similar Tracking Technologies. We use tracking technologies, such as cookies, web beacons (also known as “tracking pixels”) and similar tracking technologies.
- Device information. This may include the name of the device, operating system, and browser you are using. Information collected may depend on the type of device you use and its settings.
- Geolocation Information. We may collect precise geolocation when permitted through your device’s operating system to direct you to Studio locations nearest to you.
- Usage Information. We collect information about how you use the Site, such as the types of content that you view or engage with, the features you use, the actions you take, and the time, frequency and duration of your activities. We may use third-party tracking services that use log files, cookies, and possibly other techniques to track information about visitors to the Site in the aggregate. These services capture usage and volume statistics as well as geographical location data to compile usage reports and maps for optimization and troubleshooting purposes. In particular, we use Google Analytics and other similar software applications to help collect and analyze certain information for the purposes discussed in this Privacy Policy. - Social Media. When you visit, use, and interact with us through various social media networks like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok (any such sites, “Social Media Pages”), we may receive certain information, and the companies that host our Social Media Pages may provide us with aggregate information and analytics regarding the use of our Social Media Pages.
- Security Camera Video Data. We may collect video data via security cameras that we deploy in some of our Studios. We provide notice about our use of security cameras as required by law.
HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
The specific purposes for which Studs collects and uses Personal Information include:
- Providing and Communicating About Our Services. We use your Personal Information to provide and communicate with you about our Services, including:
- To create the Account and provide access to the Services;
- To present you with products, information, and content through the Services, including personalization of the Services;
- To provide information about your Studs appointment, including appointment confirmations and updates, directions, and aftercare information;
- To respond to your questions or requests;
- To link or combine with other information we receive from third parties such as our Social Media Pages, to help understand your needs and provide you with a better experience; and
- To communicate with you about the Services and your Account.
- To send technical notices, updates, security alerts and support and administrative messages;
- Processing Orders and Transactions. We use the Contact Information and billing information collected when you purchase a product or Services for billing purposes, to verify your identity and address for your orders, to fill your order, and/or to send you updates about the status of your order or related information, including confirmations and receipts. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you. We may also ask you about your experience, including with surveys (as described further below. We record information associated with returns to better personalize our Services for you and to improve our Services for others. We may, but are not obligated to, collect the information you post in reviews to resolve disputes, provide customer support and troubleshoot problems as permitted by law.
- Marketing Communications. We use the Contact Information you provide to communicate with you about the products and Services, including to: communicating with you about features, surveys, newsletters, offers, and events, and other news or information about us and our select partners; to provide newsletters or, updates and other relevant marketing content; to provide announcements about the Services.
- Administer Surveys, Contests, Sweepstakes, and Promotions. We may use Contact Information or social media user handles to communicate with you about surveys, contests, sweepstakes, or promotions, to send you marketing messages with special promotional offers, to notify contest winners and to award prizes, to monitor traffic to our Services, and to send participants an email newsletter.
- Develop & Improve our Site and Services. We use cookies and other tracking technology to collect information about your interactions with the Services and our marketing communications. We also use Personal Information to monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with the Services and for marketing or advertising purposes; train or improve AI models or algorithms, and otherwise provide, operate, maintain and improve the Services.
- Fraud Prevention and Safety. We may use Personal Information and disclose it to law enforcement, government authorities, and private parties as we believe necessary or appropriate to investigate and prevent fraudulent transactions, unauthorized access to the Services, and other illegal activities;
- Comply with Law. We may use Personal Information as we believe necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable laws, lawful requests, and legal process.
- Other Purposes Or With Your Consent. We may use your Personal Information for any other purposes that we describe at the time we collect your Personal Information, or otherwise with your consent.
HOW WE DISCLOSE YOUR INFORMATION
We may disclose Personal Information described in this Privacy Policy with the third parties described below in order to conduct our business, to improve the delivery of our Services, to develop analytics, and to enable us and our partners to improve and promote our products and services, including with third party marketing partners for commercial purposes.
Studs does not sell your Personal Information in exchange for money. We disclose certain categories of Personal Information to show you targeted ads on third-party properties, expand the reach and effectiveness of our own marketing campaigns, and allow certain third parties to use this information for their own marketing purposes. These disclosures may be considered “sales,” “sharing,” or use of personal information for “targeted advertising” under state privacy laws. We do not engage in sales, sharing, or targeted advertising using personal information about consumers we know to be under the age of 18.
The purposes and ways that we may disclose Personal Information about you are described below in more detail.
- Service providers, analytics and business partners. We share information including your Contact Information, Log Data, and Usage Information with third parties and/or third party software solutions to perform tasks on our behalf (such as sending you notifications and/or offers), to compile analytics to improve the Services, or to provide certain services. The third parties we currently engage include third party companies and individuals employed by us to facilitate our services, including marketing companies. These service providers agree to use your Personal Information only in accordance with our instructions, and for no other purpose than to provide the contracted-for services.
- Marketing and Advertising Partners. We share information including your Contact Information, IP address, browser, browser activity, and operating system with third-party advertising partners to show you ads that we think may interest you. Some of our advertising partners are members of the Network Advertising Initiative (https://optout.networkadvertising.org) or the Digital Advertising Alliance (https://optout.aboutads.info). - Business transfers. If our business (or substantially all of our assets) are acquired by a third party, or if we go out of business, enter bankruptcy, or go through some other change of control, Personal Information may be made available or otherwise transferred to the new controlling entity, where permitted under applicable law. In such an event, we reserve the right to transfer all of your Personal Information, including email addresses and other information about you collected by us (in accordance with this policy), to that entity.
- With Your Consent. If we need to disclose any Personal Information in a way not identified in this Privacy Policy, we will notify you and/or obtain consent as required under applicable privacy laws.
- Legal Reasons. We may disclose Personal Information if we have a good-faith belief that doing so is required under applicable law, for example if we receive a subpoena or other judicial or administrative order or otherwise required by law. This may include responding to legal requests from jurisdictions outside of the United States, where we have a good faith belief that the response is required by law in that jurisdiction.
- To Protect Rights. Additionally, we may disclose Personal Information where we, in good faith, deem it appropriate or necessary to prevent violation of the Terms of Service or our other agreements; take precautions against liability, protect the rights, property, or safety of Studs, any individual, or the general public, maintain and protect the security and integrity of our Services or infrastructure, protect ourselves and our Services from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful uses, investigate and defend ourselves against third-party claims or allegations, or assist government enforcement agencies.
SMS/TEXT MESSAGING
By opting in to Studs’ marketing text message program (the “SMS Program”), you agree to receive recurring marketing text messages from Studs at the mobile number you provide. Messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other technology. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of any purchase.
Marketing text messages are sent from shortcode 78837. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply, as determined by your wireless carrier. The SMS Program may not be available on all wireless carriers. Studs is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Cancellation. You may opt out of receiving marketing text messages at any time by texting STOP to our shortcode. After texting STOP we will send a single additional message to confirm that your request has been processed. Opting out of marketing text messages does not affect other messaging from Studs (such as appointment-related messages).
- Help. Text HELP to our shortcode for assistance.
- No Sharing of Opt-In Data. We will not sell or share your mobile telephone number with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Disclosure of your mobile telephone number to third parties is limited to service providers we engage to help administer the SMS Program, and as otherwise required by law.
YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Depending on where you live and subject to certain exceptions, you may have certain rights to manage your Personal Information. To exercise any privacy rights available to you, please visit our Privacy Request Center, where you may be able to exercise some or all of the following rights in connection with Personal Information we have collected:
- The right to obtain access to the Personal Information we have collected about you in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format.
- The right to correct inaccuracies in the Personal Information that we have collected about you.
- The right to request deletion of the Personal Information that we have collected about you.
- The right to request a list of specific third parties to whom we disclosed your Personal Information or any Personal Information.
- The right to opt out of the processing of your Personal Information for targeted advertising, the sale of Personal Information, or the sharing of Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- The right to exercise control by limiting our use or disclosure of certain sensitive Personal Information, where permitted by law.
- The right to be free from discriminatory treatment for the exercise of your privacy rights.
- The right to appeal a decision with regard to your privacy request.
- The right to opt-out of profiling in furtherance of producing legal or significant decisions concerning a consumer. We do not engage in such profiling.

The exact scope of these rights may vary by state. Certain states, including but not limited to Minnesota, New Jersey, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia, may provide additional privacy protections for data subjects located within their jurisdictions. You can submit a request to exercise rights applicable to you to opt out of personal data processing for the purposes listed above by submitting Opt-Out Request Here, and the rights to confirmation of processing, access, deletion, correction, and portability by submitting a request via the Studs Privacy Request Center. In certain states, you may also designate an authorized agent to submit an access, deletion, or correction request on your behalf. We may ask authorized agents to submit proof of their authority to make a request, such as a valid power of attorney or proof that they have signed permission from the consumer who is the subject of the request. In some cases, we may contact the individual who is the subject of the request to verify their own identity or confirm the authorized agent has permission to submit the request. If you are an authorized agent seeking to make an access, correction, or deletion request on behalf of another individual, please submit your request via the Studs Privacy Request Center.
Please note that there are exceptions and limitations to each of the rights listed above.
Accessing and Requesting Changes to Your Personal Information. Through your Account settings, you can access, view, and edit any of the following personal information:
- mailing address
- billing address
- phone number
- transactional history including appointment history (access and view only)
The information you can view and edit may change as our Services change. To edit your name, password, and/or email address, please email the Studs team.
Accessing Personal Information collected, disclosed, shared, or sold, or requesting deletion or correction of Personal Information. You can also make a request through the methods listed below:

After completing your request, we will contact you within 45 days to ask that you verify your email address. For deletion requests, once your personal information is deleted, you will no longer be able to access your Account. We and third parties with whom we’ve shared your Personal Information may retain certain of your Personal Information, like order and appointment history in our systems for certain legal, security, and business records.
Opt-Out Options
- Please complete the opt-out form available at Studs Privacy Request Center to opt out of Studs selling or sharing your Personal Information.
- You can opt-out of being tracked by third parties by broadcasting an Opt-Out Preference Signal, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC) (on the browsers and/or browser extensions that support such a signal) which has been enabled prior to accessing our Site. If you do not have an Account or if you are not logged into your Account, your request to opt-out of sale/sharing will be linked to your browser identifier only and not linked to any Account information because the connection between your browser and the Account is not known to us. If you would like us to make the connection between your browser and your Account when you send the opt out of sale/sharing of your personal information request or GPC signal, and you have not yet opted out of sale or sharing your personal information, we recommend you submitting the opt-out form that is available at Studs Privacy Request Center.
CHILDREN
Studs will take all reasonable steps necessary to protect the privacy and safety of any child from whom information is collected, as required by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Information from children under the age of 13 unless consent is provided by the child’s parent or legal guardian to collect such information and we do not use or disclose such information without parental consent. If you are under the age of 13, you may not provide any Personal Information through the Site or Services. If we learn that we have collected or received Personal Information from a minor under 13 years of age without the requisite parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe that we may have inadvertently collected any Personal Information about a minor aged under 13 years, please contact us or as provided in the “Contact Us” section below. Parents or guardians may review, modify, or delete their child’s information, or withdraw consent, by contacting us.
RETENTION
We will keep your Personal Information for as long as it remains necessary for the identified purpose or as required by law, which may extend beyond the termination of our relationship with you. We may retain certain data as necessary to prevent fraud or future abuse, or for legitimate business purposes, such as analysis of aggregated, non-personally-identifiable data, Account recovery, or if required by law. Unless otherwise set forth in the applicable Terms of Service or a separate agreement with you governing the applicable Services, if you cease using such Service, we may retain or destroy, at our discretion, all Personal Information and non-personally identifiable information we collect through your use of such Service.
PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal data, taking into account the nature of the personal data and the processing, and the threats posed. We are constantly working to improve on these safeguards to help keep your personal data secure. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Studs is based in the United States , and our Site and Services are hosted in the United States and intended for visitors located within the United States. To the extent required by applicable law, whenever we make restricted international transfers of personal information, we take steps to ensure that your personal information receives an adequate level of protection (by putting in place appropriate safeguards, such as contractual clauses) or ensure that we can rely on an appropriate derogation under data protection laws.
